Cozy & Warm Holiday Drinks

Now that it’s the most wonderful time of the year and holiday season is officially here, it’s time to get in full-on Christmas mode, which also means being warm and cozy as much as possible. Plus, it’s actually winter weather where I live now-even with a chance of snow this weekend-so I’ll take all the warmth I can get. And what better way to do that than with a warm drink in hand? So here are some of my favorite super easy, but equally tasty recipes!

For each of these recipes, it’s easy to make substitutions, such as swapping almond milk for any other plant-based milk (or pure coconut milk for a super rich drink) or coconut sugar for any other sweetener (or even leave it out if you feel like it). You probably already have all of these ingredients on hand as well.

And as for the directions, they are all the same: Combine all ingredients together & heat until warm, whether that’s in the microwave or on the stove is up to you!

ย

Hot Chocolate

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1-2 tbsp cocoa/cacoa powder
  • 1-2 tsp coconut sugar/maple syrup
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • Optional: peppermint extract, vanilla extract

Spiced Almond Milk

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • cinnamon/ginger/cloves/nutmeg
  • vanilla extract

Turmeric Milk

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1-2 tsp coconut sugar/maple syrup
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • cinnamon
  • ginger

Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • 3/4 cups almond milk
  • 1/4 cup coffee
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • cinnamon

Apple Cider

  • 1 1/2 cups 100% apple juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • cinnamon, allspice

And there you have it, a few cozy drinks to get you started for the holiday season! Picture this: sitting on the couch in your Christmas pjs, bundled in cozy blankets, a fire going while a Christmas movie plays, & a warm drink in hand.

Let me know if you try any of these out and what you think of them! Thanks for reading!!
