One of my favorite things ever is the beach. There is just that happy vibe that you get every time that you are there, no matter what beach. I recently traveled to St. George Island in Florida and I was lucky enough to spend an entire week there. I’ve been there before, but it was when I was a lot younger to where I don’t remember it, so this was pretty much my first time experiencing it. It’s a cute little secluded beach, so it was a more chill and relaxed atmosphere.
One of my favorite things about this place though was all of the colored beach houses and shops. I have a love for anything and everything pastel-colored and these houses were right up that alley. They were so aesthetically pleasing and I felt like each one had it’s own personality.
Vacations call for treating yourself, so sweet treats were a must! We made multiple trips for ice cream to this adorable little shop that was pastel pink, yellow, and blue, so of course it was necessary to document them. I tried raspberry sorbet and a strawberry popsicle (both dairy-free) and they did not disappoint. We also made a few trips to this little coffee shop on wheels throughout the week where I got almond milk cold brew coffee each time and it was the perfect fuel before we headed out to the beach each day.
And of course, what’s a trip to the beach without full days spent on the beach, right? Although it did rain for over half of the days that we were there, we made the most of it and got as much beach time as possible, rain or shine. The feeling of sand between your toes and the sound of the waves crashing are pure bliss. We had multiple dolphin sightings very close to the shore also which is always an amazing sight.
Side note, this beach was extremely dog-friendly, so being able to meet different pups all along the beach was definitely a giant perk and made me instantly happy.
Another side note, I’ve discovered I have a newfound love for one piece swimsuits and high-waisted swimsuits, so that’s pretty much all that I wore.
And back to another pastel building discovery, I may or may not have made my brother stop at this cute little hotel to take pictures since peach is one of my absolute favorite colors (and fruits). Finding these unique gems all around the beach made me so happy.
You just can’t beat beach sunsets that each feel like works of art, so I felt like I needed to document each one. This one was from our last night there, and I felt like the colors were the perfect palette to capture the overall feeling of the island and our time there. It’s always sad leaving the beach, or any vacation for that matter, and going back to reality, but I left already looking forward to our next visit.
